Bernard Lance Moore, 56, of Ashville, Ohio, a decorated Vietnam veteran of the 23rd MP’s Americal Division, passed away peacefully on Friday February 2, 2007. He was born April 1, 1950 first born son of John Bernard Moore of Columbus, Ohio and the late Janet Margaret Peck Moore. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his youngest brother Vincent Alan Moore. In addition to his father, he is survived by brothers Michael Wayne of Ashville, Ohio and Brian Patrick of Columbus, Ohio. Lance, being previously married to Roberta Moore, shared the blessing of step daughter Gina Ann and her son David Morton, and brought into this world three sons John Ross, and son Steven Lance; Christopher Lance and son Chase Christopher; and youngest son Matthew Alan. Lance and Roberta were also blessed by two daughters Heather Jean and her two sons, Jacob and Camron; and Jennifer Margaret and her son Blake Dixon. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday February 8, 2007 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio by Minister Avrel Brumfield. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held from6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday February 7, 2007 at Long’s Funeral Home Columbus, Ohio. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ashville Area Heritage Society 34 Long Street Ashville, Ohio 43103. I am one of Bernard's son, I wanted to thank everyone for their support and their contributions it helps alot. It's really sad having to go through this. If their is anything to be said I like to say please enjoy the rest of the family that you have, and please don't ever forget the Veteran's of the United States. P.S. Niner Kilo please email me, my dad would talk alot about his tour and I would not mind chatting with you.
