Cody Lee Webber Click for Condolences      Printable Version
1988 - 2009

Cody Lee WebberCody Lee Webber, 20, of Proctorville, Ohio went to be with the Lord and to be reunited with his Daddy and Papaw on Tuesday May 5, 2009 in St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born December 30, 1988 in Huntington, WV. He was preceded in death by his father Tommy Lee Webber and paternal grandfather Thomas Webber. He was a 2008 Fairland High School graduate and participated in the heating and air program at Collins Career Center. He attended First Baptist Church of Proctorville, and as a preteen he led many children to the Lord. Cody loved Michigan and Green Bay Packers, with his favorite sport being basketball. He also loved fishing, camping, and participating in the derby. He was a protector of his mother and sisters. Cody had several elementary teachers that were a positive influence to him. Cody had bought gifts for a needy family this past Christmas because of the very giving heart that he had. His heart was so big that he gave it away, it has now given life to another. His kidneys and liver have also been transplanted and over 50 people have benefitted from his skin and bone marrow. Cody was proud to be an organ donor. Being raised by a single mother, he had many women that loved him as if he were their own, including his aunt "Sissy Donna". This is where he had the ability to find a bargain and acquired his love for shopping. He had a large collection of Air Jordan tennis shoes that he was so proud of and anyone who knew him will know exactly what that meant to him. He also had a special male role model in his life, Brett Reed. He will be remembered by his beautiful smile, making people laugh, and telling his stories. Cody loved his family and friends. He could cheer up the saddest person with his wit. These are the things Cody will be remembered for and will remain in our hearts forever. Cody is survived by his mother Tammy Webber; two sisters Whitney Adkins and Tiffany McGuffin, whom he was very close to, half sister Hailey Webber; paternal grandparents Mary Ann and Frank Caldwell of Crown City, Ohio; maternal grandparents Brenda and Bobby Farris of Scottown, Ohio and Bruce Lewis of Chesapeake; great grandmother Marcella Scarberry; three uncles Jeff Farris, Bobby Farris, and Scott Webber; special aunt "Sissy Donna" Scarberry; great aunt Midge Purdue of Oak Ridge, TN; and many friends that loved him dearly. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday May 9, 2009 at Hall Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday May 8, 2009 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, in Cody's name, donations may be made to The Golden Girls' Group Home, PO Box 876 Ceredo, WV, 25507, a home for abused and neglected girls ages 12-18. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall or you may leave comments on his myspace at www.myspace.com/129334079

Tammy, We are so sorry for your loss.Jeff loved Cody very much and thought alot of him, he only wanted the best for him, the only regret Jeff has is not spending alot more time with him. We will both miss Cody's smile and friendliness towards others, from the first time I met Cody I thought he was very sweet and caring person. I loved the fact that he was very out going and would talk to you like he knew you for years. He was a great and wonderful person with such a big heart and a love for life. He is truely missed and there is not a day that goes by that he is not though about in this house, he will always be remembered and will always be in our hearts. I know that heaven has a wonderful person up there with them right now. R.I.P Cody! Tammy we will be here for you if you need anything. Know that Cody is watching over you and will see you again.

Tammy, my heart aches for you and your family. What a loss! It will be felt forever. I'll always remember Cody with such affection and thankfullness. He use to come and get Dave to fix his ties for dances, with our boys grown and gone, it really tickled Dave that Cody would ask him to do that. I'll always be glad for the 2007 summer he helped build our addition. I can't say the pain will get better but I can tell you that God can lift us up when we are in our deepest despair. If you need someone to cry with or pray with or smile with, I'm here. Praying for you.
