Brenda, my sister, is an employee with Marathon/Ashland and she shared your tragic news with me. I am so very sorry. We share the bond of our sons passing away long before we thought it was time. Eric, my son, passed on 12/29/97 when he was just 21 so I understand the shock, pain, and grief you are feeling at this moment. Please take it one minute at a time and know you are in the thoughts and prayers of many. Talk with Mark's friends and let them share their memories with you and know it is okay to laugh through your tears. Mark understands the tears; but, he loves hearing the laughter. Remember to always be looking up with a smile because Mark will always be smiling down on you. You will make it through this, just hold tight to your faith and your sweet memories of Mark. If you need to "talk" with someone who has walked down the road you are traveling now, please do not hesitate to e-mail me.

Pam, Mark and Megan. It is with tremendous regret that I was unable to attend the services for Mark today because of the situation with Diana's health. Were there any way I could have been there I would have as I really enjoyed the opportunity to have known Mark and felt a pain of not being with dear friends at such a difficult time. I shall always remember fondly the trip we had to San Diego and the fun we had and in particular Mark's sense of humor (and his haircut). I have been told by so many of his co-workers from M & H how they enjoyed Mark and all remarked on how approachable and friendly he was. At this trying time, we will rememeber the wonderful traits Mark possessed, for that will make his memory a beautiful one. Although Diana had a limited opportunity to get to know Mark, in the time she was with your family at the Christmas we visited she also remembers his quiet charm. We both are so very sorry for your loss. Ed and Diana

Mark, Pam and Megan Jean, I am so sorry to hear about Mark. My sympathy goes out to you and your family. I was in Hurricane, WV last weekend and returned to Houston on Sunday. I wish I could have known before I left so I could have attended the funeral. Although I was not there, my thoughts and prayers are with you and the entire family. I only knew Mark for a short time, and he was a wonderful person. He told me that I was the only one he knew in Houston that was originally from West Virginia. He always made me laugh and I felt so happy when I was around him. I will always remember him. Jeanette Infanger Dow Chemical R&D 3333 Hwy 6 South Houston Tx 77802

so, so sorry to learn of Mark's passing. As a father of three children one the same age as Mark, I cannot imagine the pain this must cause. This is a moment to embrace the words of the Psalmist "The Lord is my rock and my fortress...He is my very present help in the time of need". May God's grace abound in your lives at this time.
