It's many years later and this still affects me. Whitney had a smile that could light up anyone's would and a contagious laugh that I miss very very much. She was the greatest person I've known in my life and although she's gone she still continues to be the greatest person. It hurts me everyday knowing I can't see her smile or her laugh but I know one day I will again. I love you so so much Whitney. Until we meet again ??

Whitney was an amazing person. I'm very thankful to have had her as a friend. I will always love and miss You girl!!!!!! This doesn't seem real or fair you were like a sister to me. I can't except that you are gone. Whitney you will always be remembered as an amazing friend, very intelligent young lady, and an inspiring person. WORDS CANT EXPLAIN HOW MUCH YOU ARE MISSED AND HOW SORRY I AM TO ALL OF YOUR FAMILY!!! MICHELLE you are in mine and my families prayers. I hope your in a wonderful place smiling down on us Whitney. When she walked into a room she would always lite it up with her bright personality. She always got along with and was kind to everybody. You will always be remebered! it hard to get pass the fact you are gone but the thought of you being in a pain free state and a better place does help everything i just wish we could still have you here but i am more then happy your happy and i love you for life and then some

I didn't know you but I went to school with Timmy and had recently met Whitney at my employer when she came there to work for us just a few weeks ago. She was such a sweet girl and always bright eyed and smiling when I saw her. In her training class she stood out because as I talked to the class she was right in the front row and made the most eye contact with me. My prayers are with you and your family.

I am from HFGA church and watched Whitney grow up there. She was a beautiful girl. I have been and will continue to pray for your family. The Father in Heaven has mysterious plans that I don't understand. Psalms 139:16 tells us that all the days of our life are fashioned by God before we are born. HE called Whitney's name and she answered. I have to trust HIS HEART for Whitney, myself and your family. May He draw you close to HIM, give you the peace that passes all our earthly understanding and strengthen you in the days ahead, knowing that Whitney is safe in the arms of Jesus (and Evelyn).

My thoughts and prayers are with Whitney's family. I didn't know her personally, but I went to HHS and through mutual friends had always heard nothing but wonderful things about this girl. It is sad to us here on Earth that she has passed, but I'm sure she is in a much better place...A place where there is no pain or hurt or sorrow, but a place with streets of gold, where everyone knows your name, where you are forever young, & where the good Lord up above is keeping her tenderly beneath his holy wing. I'm sure that nothing can take away the pain of losing a child, but just remember that she would not want us to be sad that she is gone, but to be celebrating the great life she lived in her short time here, and rejoycing her homecoming in Heaven.

Whitney Senae Stewart, 18, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord and her Ma Ma Evelyn on Tuesday, December 28, 2010. She was born August 31, 1992 in Huntington, WV. She was a Marshall University student and a member of River Cities Lighthouse Church. Survivors include her mother Michelle Stewart Gaulds and a special stepfather, Curtis Gaulds; her father, Melvin Eanes; one brother, Elijah Stewart; stepbrothers and stepsisters, Tajh Gaulds, Tayvon Gaulds, Tyrie Walker, Tyriesha Walker, Tisean Walker and Candace Akers; aunt and uncle, Tammy and Leon McCoy; a nephew, Noah McCoy; an uncle, Timmy Stewart; a cousin, Julie Barber; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday, December 31, 2010 at the River Cities Lighthouse Church by Pastor Donnie McCloud. Burial will be in Baylous Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Friday at the River Cities Lighthouse Church, 1033 8th Ave., Huntington, WV. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to help the family with expenses. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, is in charge of arrangements.
