Louie  FondukLouie Fonduk, 86, of Huntington, passed away July 1, 2009. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 5, 2009 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens by Rev. Brady Lipscomb. He was born January 22, 1923 in Elkhorn City, KY, a son of the late John and Dora Mullins Fonduk. Louie was a member of the Western Star Lodge # 11, A.F. & A.M., Guyandotte, and a veteran of the US Army, having served in WW II in the South Pacific and was awarded three bronze stars. He was a Kentucky Colonel. Louie was the former owner of Casto & Fonduk Insurance Company, Louie Fonduk World of Recreation, Louie Fonduk Travel Trailers, Honda Motorcycles and Honda Automobiles. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ann Vaughn Fonduk; two sons and daughters-in-law, Darrell Lee and Becky Fonduk of Huntington and Gary Neil and Charmaine Fonduk, of Chapmanville; and four grandchildren; Chad and Mandy of Huntington and Mindy Augustine and her husband, Steven of Jacksonville, FL and Darrell Lee Fonduk II of Houston, TX; four step-grandchildren, Danita and Jordan Mullins of Huntington, Mark Holley and his wife, Christi of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Kristen Blair and her husband, Rick of Nashville, TN; two great-grandchildren, Carson and Colton; and four step-great-grandchildren, Morgan, Zachary, Jacob and Joshua Blair. There will be no visitation. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, is in charge of arrangements. Masonic services will be conducted by the Western Star Lodge, # 11, Guyandotte. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, 3100 Staunton Rd, Huntington, WV 25702. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace. Military gravesite rites will be conducted by the Veterans Honor Guard, Huntington.

My wife and I didn't know Mr. Fonduk but we did have a old time camper with his name on it. It was a tiny camper but weighed a ton,everyone who visited us would comment on his name.about We're back to having a travel trailer and have decided to name it Louie Fonduk Just be chance we looked up Louie and came across his obituary.I'm thankful to see a picture of mr.fonduk and we both have wonderful memories of our Louie. Louie was a great friend and mentor to me, I unfortunately just discovered of his passing and would like to express my deepest sympathies to Ruth Ann and Louie's entire family you were all so blessed to have had such a great soul in your lives cherish and honor his memory always...God Bless!

I'm sorry for your loss. Louie was always friendly & helpful when my parents were buying trailers in the late 60's and early 70's. He will be dearly missed.
