1957 - 2024
 Gregory Allen Mays, 66, of Barboursville, departed this life at home to join our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. He entered this world on December 5, 1957 to his late parents Max and Peggy Mays. He graduated from Barboursville High School where he was a member of the FFA. He retired from Greater Huntington Park and Recreation District, where he spent years caring for our community’s most beautiful parks. He enjoyed the outdoors and could be found deer hunting in the fall or fishing in the summer. He is preceded in death by his older brother, Richard Allen Mays. Left to cherish his memory is his only child, Lisa Marie (Aaron) Stowers, his beloved grandson, William Gregory Brock and his younger brother Wendell (Debbie) Mays, all of Barboursville. He also had two special friends, Allen Skaggs and Kenny Thornhill, and his adoring dog Lilly. Greg was loved by everyone who knew him, as he had a big heart and would help anyone in any way he could. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 11 a.m. to noon at Wallace Funeral Home in Barboursville. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Baylous Cemetery, Salt Rock. Bubby you will always be in my heart and memories- we had some good times and I will forever miss you- I truly believe that God is taking very good care of you. The fondest memory I have is making trails for our motorcycle rides through the woods and 🛷 sleigh rides on snowy days- we’d spend hours in the snow and beside the warm fires in the big fields- I love you and may you forever rest in peace with our Lord.
