With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bernice Callaway, a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, GGB and aunt, who left us on December 11th, 2024. Born on July 24th, 1956, she lived a life abundant with love, laughter, and family. She brought warmth to every room with her smile and laugh that could light up even the darkest of days. She was a woman who loved her family fiercely and could crack a joke in a moment’s notice.
Bernice is the Daughter of John Pruitt, Gaylene and Earl Noftz, Wife of Ron Callaway, Mother to Melany (Scott) Nieset, and Stoni (Stephanie) Warwick, Eric (Penny) Callaway, and Ron Callaway Jr., Grandmother to TJ (Taylor) Nieset, Cody (Rachel) Nieset, Isaiah (Gabby) Warwick, Emma Clevenger, Alexander Warwick, Hannah Callaway, Addison Callaway, Bethany Early, Caleb Early, GGB to Margot Nieset. Sister to Jack (Bonnie) Pruitt, Dee (Terry) Dean, David (Beth) Pruitt, Johnnie (Sam) Pruitt, Aunt to several Nieces and Nephews. Though she is no longer here, she has left a mark on all who have known her, and her memory will be a source of comfort to us all.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and a small service and prayer following visitation at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel at 1159 Central Ave. Barboursville, WV. In lieu of flowers, our family has asked that you make a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in her memory; the charity Bernice donated to with love.
