Ozella Sparks Varney, 92, of Barboursville, WV, died January 30, 2025 at The Village at Riverview assisted living home. She was born October 2, 1932 in Delbarton, WV to Rosa and Lindsey Sparks. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Jackson Varney and her sister, Merle Seagraves.
Survivors include her children, Bonnie Jacqueline Varney, Lindsey Lee Varney, Deborah Ellen Jitima (Charlie), and William Robin Varney; grandchildren, Ben Jitima (Jenni) and Nick Jitima (Jill); great-grandchildren, Jakob (Michaela), Jackson, Jarrett, Sam, Max, and Ollie; a soon to be born great-great-granddaughter, Quinn; and sister Elizabeth Maynard.
The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff of The Village at Riverview and Hospice of Huntington for their loving care of Ozella and her family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, February 3, 2025 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
