Robert E. Robert E. “Bob” Ryder, 93, of Milton, WV, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, February 2, 2025. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 6, 2025 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, February 7, 2025, at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Burial will be in Arthur Cemetery, Ona.

Bob was born November 26, 1932, in Ona, WV, a son of the late Samuel and Nettie Martin Ryder.

He is survived by two daughters, Munorva (Harry) Barker of Milton, WV, and Martha Linville of Charleston, WV; two sons, Millard Ryder and Lee Ryder, both of Milton, WV; three grandchildren Jason and Scott Barker and Rachel Toney; a bonus grandson Jessy (Sammy) Manning; eight great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Ryder, three brothers Calvin, Oscar, and Ted Ryder; four sisters Doris Ryder Persinger, Maxine Ryder Lykins Epling, Edna Mae Ryder Russell and Luvenia Dennison Smith, all of Huntington, WV and surrounding areas.

Bob was a devout child of God and is now walking the streets of Heaven, with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a caring and loving Father and Pawpaw. He spent his life working hard to provide for his family. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, and sharing the word of God.
