
MARY VINCENT COURTNEY COLLINS, 78, of Huntington, WV, daughter of the late Wilbur Harry Courtney and Mary Lee Fleming, passed away on March 18, 2025. Mary Vincent was born on May 10, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Ramon Collins, in 2014.
Mary Vincent graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan College and earned a Ph.D. in home economics from Penn State University. She taught for several years at Messiah College and at Marshall and Ball State Universities. Mary Vincent enjoyed participating in the Daughters of the American Revolution and organizing reunions of the 1964 graduating class of Barboursville High School.
Mary Vincent is survived by her brother, William H. Courtney, U.S. Ambassador (ret), and his wife Laryssa, of Washington, DC; his son William H. Courtney, Jr., of Springfield, Virginia; and his daughter, Alison Courtney, her husband Fabian Lopez, and their son Liam Lopez Courtney, of Washington, DC.
