
Elder Steven Wetzel Nida, 70, of Barboursville, WV, passed away April 18, 2025. He was born October 3, 1954, in Huntington, WV, son of the late Herman Wetzel Nida and Vetura Bills Nida. He was also preceded in death by his brother Derick Nida. He is survived by his wife Peggy Faulkner Nida; two daughters Kara Harshbarger (Shane) of Appling, GA and Stephanie McKenzie (Will) of Ashland, KY; three sisters Greta Good of Barboursville, Vaunda Ryder (Randall) of Milton, and Deana Kincade (Andy) of Proctorville, OH; one brother Stacy Nida of Barboursville; and two very loved grandchildren Leilah and Steven Harshbarger.
He had numerous and much loved nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family members.
Steve was owner of Nida Builders. He was a member of Gethsemane United Baptist Church and pastored various churches in the Bethlehem United Baptist Church Association.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Elder John Gilkerson and Elder J.C. Blair. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
