Funeral services for Hammond Ellis Woodard, 89, of Silsbee will be 10:00 am Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Silsbee under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in R. S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Dr. Scott Moody and Reverend R. E. Barclay will officiate. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Woodard passed away April 22, 2007 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

Hammond was born in Anderson, Texas but was a long time resident of Silsbee. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was a retired shipping clerk.

Survivors include his wife Juanita Woodard of Silsbee; sons Charlie Woodard and wife Sherry and Bobby Woodard and wife Gretchen of Silsbee; daughter Virginia (Gina) Collins and husband Bob of Buna; brother Raymond Woodard of Corrigan; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bubba Moye, L. J. King, Jimmy Jones, Dave Cook, Phil Potter, John Burt, Barry Fountain and Buzz Cockrell. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of First Baptist Church.
