Robert Earl Willard
WHEELERSBURG-Robert Earl Willard, 90, of Wheelersburg passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024 at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth. Robert was born September 25, 1934 in Wheelersburg to the late Paul Willard and Mary Lee Willard. Robert was employed as a pipefitter at the former Detroit Steel/New Boston Coke. He also served as a Porter Township Trustee. Robert was a member of First Church of Christ and Western Sun #91. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Polly Ashworth Willard, September 1, 2018, whom he married May 12, 1955 at Sciotoville Christian Church; his brothers, Karl, Paul and Richard; a sister, Ruth Ann Pardo and a grandson, Anthony DeCamp. Robert is survived by a son, Robert Earl Willard Jr. (Erin); two daughters, Valerie (Tom) DeCamp and Susan (Rod) Smith; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The family requests Memorial contributions be made to SOMC Hospice in Robert’s name.
Services for Robert will be 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park.
