“A Family Dedicated To Service”
The Wetherholt Chapel was originally built in 1814 by Nathaniel Cushing, brother of Henry Cushing, proprietor of “Our House”. In 1939, it became the private residence and funeral home of Frank and Frances Wetherholt. In 1986, it was purchased and renovated by Herb and Jean Moore.

The Vinton Chapel was established by the late William F. Butler in about 1875, and later operated by his son H.K. Butler until his death in 1937. In 1937, Vernon and Elsie McCoy became the directors. In 1951, the McCoys purchased the J.L. Coleman & Son Funeral Home, Bidwell, Ohio, and moved that operation to their establishment in Vinton. Herb and Jean (McCoy) Moore joined the firm in June 1968, six weeks prior to the death of Mr. McCoy.
