Mr. Paige Alfonso Watkins, age 77, of Warner Robins, passed away Friday, November 24, 2006 in Houston Medical Center, Warner Robbins following a brief illness.
Mr. Watkins was born March 28, 1929 in Madison County, N.C. the son of the late Alfonso Watkins and Zennie Fisher Watkins. He retired from The United States Air Force after twenty years of service as a Staff Sargent. After his retirement he began working at the Base Exchange in Safety and Security until retiring in 1991. Mr. Watkins was Baptist by faith a loving father, husband and friend.
Survivors include his wife, Clara Ann Blackburn Watkins, daughters and son-in-law, Crystal Franques, Guam, Pamela Jo. (Raymond) King Stockbridge, Mark Anthony (Maria) Watkins, Villa Rica, GA. Grandchildren, Raymond Scott King, Roswell, GA Wayne Weaver, Ellerslie, GA, Tanya Marie Franques, Guam, Michael Franques, Guam. Andy Naudzunas, New Hampshire, sisters, Joyce Ann Edwards, Marshall, N.C., Betty Sluder, Ashville, N.C. and Virginia Freeman, Weaverville, N.C. and several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Lynn Naudzunas.
Funeral Service will be conducted Monday, November 27, 2006 at 11 o’clock from J. Collins Funeral Home in Villa Rica.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6 until 8 P.M.
Interment will follow in Melrose Hills Cemetery with the American Legion Post 143 folding and presenting the flag.
