Mr. Steve Martin Keaton, age 49 of Temple, passed away Friday, January 5, 2007 at Tanner Medical Center, Villa Rica.
Mr. Keaton was born March 13, 1957 the son of Donald Keaton and Margaret Ivey Benefield. He was a self-employed Drywall Hanger for most of his life and was Baptist by faith. Mr. Keaton was an avid fisherman and was a member of The Carrollton Bass Club and West Georgia Bassmasters.
Besides his parents he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Keith Hull, Franklin, son, Tony Keaton, Ephesus, GA, maternal grandmother, Ida Cleveland, Temple sisters and brother-in-law, Susan Vinson, Temple, Frances and Steve Crawford, Temple, brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Cathy Keaton, Temple, step brother, Randy Keaton , two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 9, 2006 at 11 o’clock from J. Collins Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Leroy Messer and Rev. Homer Wilburn officiating. Music will be provided by Mrs. Eveline Messer.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6 until 8 P.M. and Monday from 2 until 8 P.M.
In accordance with Mr. Keaton’s wishes following the service the body will be cremated.
