Mrs. Ruby Estelle Brannon Bowen , age 96 of Mt. Pleasant, TX formally of Villa Rica, died Thursday , February 15, 2007.
Mrs. Bowen was born January 23, 1911 the daughter of the late Luther Brannon and Annie Harden Brannon. She was a homemaker and had been a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church in Villa Rica for a number of years.
Survivors include her daughter, Eunice Runell McClain, Villa Rica, sister, Christine Bennett, McDonough, 4 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Emory Bowen, daughter, Rebecca Doris Humphries, and son, Carl Max Bowen,
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, February 18, 2007 at 2 o’clock from J. Collins Funeral Home in Villa Rica with Rev. Don Rackley officiating. Music will be provided by Terry Williams
Pallbearers include Terry Williams, Vince Williams, Van Bowen, Wes McClain, Ryan McClain, and Jimmy McClain
The family will receive friends at J. Collins Funeral Home Saturday from 7 until 9 P.M.
Interment will follow the service in Powell’s Chapel Cemetery
