Ben and especially Margaret kind of adopted me and my oldest son Ephraim while I was choir director at Bates in the mid-80s. They were two of the kindest and most generous people I've ever met. I will always cherish their memory, and may their souls rest in eternal peace.

Dear Beth and family;
The news of Margaret's passing brings me much sadness. She was a special lady with deep faith and a beautiful voice. Her contributions to the life at Bates were so inspirational to me. I look forward to singing again with her some day. I hope and pray that her faith and strength will live on in you and help you through this time of loss. Know that the One of whom she sang so lovingly is watching over you in this season of grief. May you find comfort in knowing that she lives on with Him.

My love and prayers are with you. Such a joy to have had a little time with Margaret this summer... as we went through pictures and she told about her wonderful children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was so very proud of you. We give thanks for her loving ways and will miss her sweet smile and kind heart.
