PALASINSKI, Stanley A.

Paw Paw

Stan passed away Tuesday evening, July 13, 2010 at his home. He was born June 6, 1927 in Paw Paw the son of the late Peter and Dorothy (Pabin) Palasinski.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving in the European Theater with the Counter Intelligence Corps and the Military Police.

Stan was employed as a mechanic at Allied Paper Company in Kalamazoo retiring on July 1, 1989. After retirement he continued his hobby of farming.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Paw Paw, 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3798, Paw Paw and the American Legion, McGowan-Johnson Post # 68, Paw Paw.

On July 2, 1949 in Paw Paw, Stanley was united in marriage to Helen M. Freer and recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. Surviving are his wife, Helen; 4 sons, Richard (Beth) Palasinski of Paw Paw, Peter (Betsy) Palasinski of Sturgis, Paul Palasinski of Gobles and Stanley Palasinski, Jr. of Palm Springs, CA; grandchildren, Carrie(Dave) Miles and Anne Palasinski of Paw Paw, Hannah and Caitlin Palasinski of Sturgis; sister, Mary Bonarski of Paw Paw. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Chester and Edward Palasinski.

Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where a vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Paw Paw with Rev. Fr. Joseph Xavier celebrant. Interment with full military honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.

I am a co-worker of Stan's and I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Palasinski when he visited Stan in California. He was such a gentleman. my prayers are with his family that they may find comfort in their memories and remember him with a smile.
