Kathryn went to be with Jesus Thursday evening, February 24, 2011 at her home. She was born October 26, 1926 in Mansfield, IL the daughter of the late Ralph W. and Sylvia L. (Grimes) Kuykdendall. Kathryn was employed with the Learning Village Day Care in Kalamazoo for many years and was a member of the 12th Street Baptist Church in Kalamazoo. Surviving are a son, Jimmie Blacker of Kalamazoo; daughter, Penny (Thomas) Worden of Portage; grandchildren, Brittany and Alison Blacker, Anita (David) Deboer, Thomas Worden III and Flethcer (Jackie) Worden; great grandchildren, Owen and Elliott; several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are very special friends, Joanne (Jack) Babbitt and Anna (Charles) Beach. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Mary Kenner, Delores Wilson and Joanne Frye and one daughter in law, Elizabeth Blacker. Family will receive friends Thursday, March 3 from 11:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where funeral services will be held following the visitation at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Hill Cemetery, Lawrence. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or to the family for expenses.
