Earl Bert E.B. Lycan 75 of Bromley Ridge Road Fort Gay, WV passed away Friday January 6, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
E.B. was born May 26, 1936 on Dry Branch at Globe, KY., the son of the late Bert Landan Biggs and Hazel Cline Lycan. He was a retired American Electric Power employee at the Big Sandy Plant. He served in the United States Navy.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years Anna Ruth Akers Lycan; two daughters and son-in-laws Lynn and George Robinett of Fort Gay, WV, Ann and Larry Joe Robinett also of Fort Gay; a son John Lycan of Brevig Mission, Alaska; seven grandchildren Tommy (Lisa) Robinett, Sonny (April) Robinett, Kacy (Andy) Leedy, Joey Robinett, Adam Robinett, Joshua Robinett, and Lucy Robinett; five great grandchildren Payton, Ashley, Allison, Elijah, and Ezra; three sisters Carol Davis and Margaret Clark both of Fort Gay, WV and Linda Barnett of Charlotte, NC.
E.B. was preceded in death by his grandson Jesse Cleave Lycan, step father Milton Lycan, and mother-in-law and father-in-law Mommy Lucy and Pap Mack.
Friends may call after 5:00 pm Sunday at the Wilson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at a later date in the Akers Cemetery on Route 581 Louisa, KY.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of Huntington or to the Gods Food Bank P.O. Box 90 Louisa, KY 41230.
