Cheryl  Pauley Henderson

Cheryl Pauley Henderson 68 of Fallsburg, KY passed away Friday Feb.3, 2012 at her home in Hancock, MD.

She was born December 7, 1943 in Nankin, Michigan.

She was a 1962 graduate of Lawrence County High School in Louisa, KY.

She was retired from the Washington County Board of Education where she worked as a parent involvement/school community aid.

She was a member of the Calvary Episcopal Church in Ashland, KY.

She is survived by her husband David M. Henderson whom she married September 11, 1965 in Clear Spring, MD, her mother Billie Ann Pigmon of Louisa, KY; one daughter, Cheryl A. Jones and husband Rob of Gloucester Point, VA; two sons, David C. Henderson of Hancock, MD and Dale W. Henderson of Needmore, PA; two brothers, Phillip Pigmon of Louisa, KY and James Pigmon of Oviedo, FL; one sister, Georgina Hewlett of Brownsburg, IN; grandchildren, Jayden and Olivia Jones; many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents Bill and Georgia Maddy and her step-father John C. Pigmon.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday at 6:00 pm at the Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, MD, Rev. William Swope will officiate. Burial and a graveside service will be in Maddy Cemetery in Fallsburg, KY, Tuesday February 7, 2012 at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.

I am sorry for your loss. Cheryl was always so nice to my son Joshua even when she should have kicked his rear-end for him. I hope Dave takes care of himself, and Philip I feel bad for you and Mrs. Pigmon. I am so sorry for your loss.

Cheryl was a very dear person to me. We were not only family, but friends. She was contagious with her smile she always tried to do what was best for everyone else. I love you Cheryl and you will be missed.
