Clara Lucile Weeks, 92, of De Graff, died at 7:26 PM Sunday, December 22, 2013, at Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine.
She was born July 7, 1921, in Bellefontaine, a daughter of the late Banner Harrison and Esta Neer Bush.
On December 25, 1941, she married Raymond Allison Weeks in De Graff and he died December 20, 2008.
Survivors include a Son; Philip (Beverly) Weeks of De Graff, two Daughters; Linda (Jerry) Thornton of Bellefontaine and Debbie (Jim) Detrick of Columbus, a Brother; John (Mildred) Bush of Bellefontaine, six Grand Children, 17 Great Grand Children and 2 Great Great Grand Children.
A Homemaker and a very active member of the DeGraff United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women and a Past District Treasurer of the United Methodist Women. She also held memberships in the Fortnightly Music Club and Logan County Agrarian Club. She was a long time 4-H Advisor and the First woman president of the Riverside Board of Education. She enjoyed playing the accordion and piano and did custom sewing.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Rexer-Riggin-Madden Funeral Home, DeGraff, with Rev. Kymberly James officiating. Burial is in the Greenwood-Union Cemetery, DeGraff. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013 from 5 to 8 P.M. and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Homestead at Logan Acres or the De Graff United Methodist Church.
