James "Jim" H. Minnehan, 83, of Flatwoods, passed away Monday, March 5, 2018, in Community Hospice Care Center.

He was born March 22, 1934, in Ashland, a son of the late Samuel and Dorothy Simmons Minnehan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Imogene Patton Minnehan in 2017.

Jim spent 50 years working at Johnson's Dairy where he formed many lifelong friendships with colleagues he considered to be his family.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Cheri Minnehan Adams of Flatwoods and Pamela Minnehan (Scott) Williams of Burlington, KY; sister Betty Dooley of Ashland; grandchildren, Lisa Joe (Christopher Collins) Delaney of Atlanta, GA, and Jennifer Rene Williams of California; two great-grandsons, Jackson and Declan Collins of Atlanta; and a special friend and caregiver, Loretta Martin of Wurtland.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018, at Steen Funeral Home Central Avenue Chapel with Chaplain Jimm Smedley officiating. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from noon until 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
