Daniel E. Perry
WHEELERSBURG — Daniel Edward Perry, 89, of Wheelersburg, passed away peacefully at Mt Carmel East Hospital, Columbus, OH, Thursday, January 26, 2023. Daniel was born October 15, 1933, in Portsmouth, Ohio. After serving in the 38th Inf Fort Lewis Washington during the Korean War, he returned home to marry the love of his life, Ruth C. Perry on Feb. 15, 1957. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved to play golf. Dan and Ruth opened Perry's Pizza Barn in (1977). It always brought a smile to his face whenever he spoke about the kids from the neighborhood or the continued success of the pizza shop still today. Dan & Ruth were married for 59 wonderful years and together had three children, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Ethel (Moore) Perry, son Daniel Joe (Tammy) Perry, sisters Mary Ester (Perry) Boggs and Joanne (Perry) Robinson. He is survived by sisters Betty (Charles) Rowles of Dayton, OH and Colleen Davis of Woodstock, GA, children Kimberly (Perry) Riffe and Raymond (Nikki) Perry, grandchildren Casey (Brittany) Riffe, Brittney Riffe, Sonnie (Alisa) Jones, Mindy (Tyler) Wickiser, Kayla Perry, Emma Perry, Hannah (Dan) Evory. great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
Services for Daniel will be 11:00 am Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Blaine Etterling officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5:00-7:00 pm Friday, February 3, 2023 and one hour before the 11:00 am service on Saturday.
