1958 - 2023
With sadness and love, the family of Thomas Anthony Turner, age 65, announces his passing on April 17, 2023 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born on February 26, 1958 to Herbert & Naomia Turner. He was preceded in death by a sister, Yvonna Denise Turner, and a brother, Frederick James Turner. Along with his parents, he leaves behind to cherish his memory, two brothers Herbert Turner, Jr. (Mimi) and John Turner, two sisters, Sandra Clausen and Jacqueline Smith; two half-sisters, Natalie Turner and Tina Palmer; and a love that was held deep within his heart, for his daughter, Shelita Nicholson; two uncles and aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Thomas would like to let you know that his work here is complete. Thomas received a call that cannot be refused and an appointment which he will not be returning from. His new mission takes him to a beautiful reunion with Family and Friends he has not seen in a long time with whom he will be playing cards and shooting craps to his heart’s desire; love and laughter guaranteed.
A private celebration of Thomas’ life will be announced later. In lieu of sending flowers in his honor, please make a donation to your favorite charity.

I was so sorry to hear Thomas had passed away. He was a great guy to be around. We didn't talk a lot, but I always felt welcome around Thomas, unless I was talking when he was watching TV. He didn't say anything, but gave me the glance. I will miss seeing him in his spot, watching his Westerns.Rest well my brother, rest well.

Family,I am so sorry for your loss. Thomas will be sorely missed and fondly remembered - dimples and all. We were close as teenagers and handed out many butt kickings while playing spades at the A D. Lewis pool during the Summer. Good times... Mr. Herbert, Ms. Naomi, Hurkey, Sandy, Jackie and John, please know you are all in my prayers. I pray that God strengthens and comforts you during this time. Thomas's million dollar smile is one of the many things that will be sorely missed.

A wonderful person with an even more beautiful smile, no words could explain the impact he made on me. From saying little things like "something's wrong with you" and "I don't know about you". With that smile on his face showing his beautiful teeth. Or saying "I don't have any snack packs". With out asking me to make them. We had a communication with little words sometimes he knew I would understand and knew I would never complain about what he was needing or maybe just simply wanting.
He never complained about being sick and even in his last days, he'd still smile. I know that's the thing I will miss the most about him...that smile.
I am sorry, Herbert,Naomia,Herky, Sandy, Jackie and John. And to all his many nieces and nephews. May God give you peace in this time, and may He always send a reminder of Thomas's love for you all as well.
