Zora of Wheelersburg, Ohio was born on February 15, 1941, in Becky West Virginia. She went to be with the lord on September 12, 2024, to be reunited in Heaven with her husband, Leonard Tackett, Sr, and her parents Sonnie and Shrilda Collins.
She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters. They were, Zina Farmer, Virgil Collins, Dave Collins, George Collins, Junior Collins, Annalee Davis, Mabel Carpenter, Eula Colter, Bonnie McDaniel, Dorothy Collins, Norma Acord, Buddy Canaday, Helen Morris, Joy Canaday, Russell Canaday, and Junior Canaday.
Zora is survived by two sons Leonard, Jr. (Rose) Tackett and Jeff (Danna) Tackett. Five grandchildren, Brent (Crystal) Tackett, Candy Tackett, Megan (Curtis) Artrip, Brittany (Jason) Lawhorn, and Heidi (Noah) Thompson.. Sixteen great grandchildren, Brenten (Hayliegh) Tackett, Ashton (Josh) Blevins, Skylar Tackett, Nathan Johnson, Jayden Tackett, Braydan Tackett, Ava Artrip, Owen Artrip, McKinley Artrip, Shaun Lawhorn, Kierany Lawhorn, Aiden Lawhorn, Amelianna Lawhorn, Tucker Thompson, Waylon Thompson, and Tanner Thompson. Four great great grandchildren,Kasen Kaveski, Weston Blevins, Wrenlee Blevins, and Walker Blevins.
Two sisters, (her twin) Dora Frick and Louise Scott. There and many nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Franklin Furnace Ohio and a former employee of Kroger in Wheelersburg Ohio.
Her passion in life was the Lord, her family, writing songs, collecting glassware, and playing board and card games.
Arrangements are being handled by Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg, Ohio. Friends and family can visit on Monday September 16th from 6-8 pm. The funeral will be held at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home on Tuesday September 17th at 11 am with visitation one hour before. Jared Timberlake from the Sand Hill Christian Baptist Church in Wheelersburg Ohio, will be officiating the service. Burial will be in the Haverhill Cemetery in Haverhill, Ohio
