George Wiliam "Bill" Davis Click for Condolences      Printable Version
1938 - 2024

George Wiliam George William “Bill” Davis, 86, of Barboursville, passed peacefully, on his terms September 26, 2024 surrounded by his family. While born in Missouri, he spent most of his life in West Virginia, telling others about the love of Christ. Pastor Bill and his wife of 65 years, Judi, served the families of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Ona, WV for over forty years. He knew and loved the Lord deeply and looked forward to meeting his parents, sister Betty, son Jeffrey, and granddaughters Rylee and Kaymaen in Heaven.

He leaves behind a family celebrating his life well lived: children Tami (Bud), Matthew (Amanda), Aaron (Deborah); grandchildren Destini, Harmoni (Grant), Canaan, Hope, Hunter, Ryann, Sulliven, & Maddox; great-grandchildren Nehemiah, Avashai, Davis, Haiden, Arianna, James, & Elias.

The family would like to thank Antioch, Hospice House, and his medical team. Special thanks to Dr. Kevin Yingling who gave compassionate, personalized care throughout.

Pastor Bill’s services reflect his humble nature and desire for privacy. Wallace Funeral Home of Barboursville handled the family service and a private, family graveside service will be conducted Tuesday at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In place of flowers or other gifts, the family requests you continue his legacy of giving by making a donation to Jeremiah Tree Foundation, PO Box 971, Ona, WV 25545.

He would want us to remind others that we are always better than we deserve and through Christ, all things are possible.
