1954 - 2024
Kenneth “Dale” Snyder, 70, of South Shore, Ky., went home to be with the Lord on November 28, 2024. Funeral services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2024 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Jim Smedley. He was born April 24, 1954, in Huntington, a son of the late Kenneth George and Mary Lorraine Gartin Snyder. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps having served during Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his wife, Denise Dion Snyder; sister, Janie Snyder; and brother, Lonnie Edward Snyder. He is survived by one son, Christopher Dale Snyder (Kerry) of Florida; three daughters, Kaberil Snyder Ash (Timothy) of Barboursville, Erica Dion Gomez (Santiago) of Charlotte, NC, and Latisha Dion Ash (special son, Danny Ash) of South Shore, Ky.;two sisters, Karen Sellards (Bob) of Barboursville and Debra Pauley (Greg) of Barboursville; 10 grandchildren, Elizabeth Paige Snyder, Kristi’Ana Burd, Christopher Roberts Jr., Keiara Ash, Danny Ash Jr., Liam Ash, Noah Ash, Sylas Ash, Catalina Gomez and Eli Gomez; three great-grandchildren, Elijah “Dale” Burd, Raya Burd, and Mia Burd; and a whole host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday prior to the service. Special thanks to Ashland Community Hospice and Woody Williams VA Medical Center for their kindness and care during our father’s illness. I want everyone to know that you’re in my thoughts and prayers. Dale will be sorely missed by many, we must keep in mind that our loss is Heaven’s gain. May all the memories you shared, keep you strong through this difficult time. I love all of you.
