Ruth Mae Adkins, 89, of Wayne, WV, passed away June 10, 2026. She was born July 3, 1936, in Wayne, WV, daughter of the late John Dorton and Mary Mullins Dorton. She was also preceded in death by her husband William Baylous Adkins and one son William Baylous II. She is survived by one daughter Sheila Jeanette Ryder (Duane A. Ryder II), one brother Hershal Lee Marcum of Huntington; one daughter-in-law, Teressa Adkins; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Jordan Mathews. Entombment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Womanโs Choice Inc. 504 Washington Street W., Charleston, WV, 25302.
