Passed away Saturday evening, July 22, 2006 at Springs at Bronson Place, Kalamazoo. John was born Feb. 2, 1916 in East Chicago, IN. the son of the late Andy and Mary (Isovic) Timkovich. John was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army in the European Theater. He was employed as a Mill Wright and was a member of the Mill Wright Union Local # 1102. He was also a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and a Life Member of Anchor Lodge # 22 F&AM in Kalamazoo. On December 25, 1941 in Wayland, MI., John was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Dillenbeck who survives. Also surviving are a son, Robert (Mary) Timkovich Sr. of Kalamazoo; daughter, Rose (Randy) Brondyke of Holland, MI; 3 grandsons, Paul Whitmore, Andrew Whitmore and Robert Timkovich, Jr.; 2 step-granddaughters, Sue VanDuren and Nancy Knap; one great granddaughter and 6 step great grandchildren; sister, Ann Shutko of Hammond, IN; 2 sisters-in-law, Ethel Timkovich of Grand Rapids and Virginia Dillenbeck of Battle Creek; MI; nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Tuesday, 1 to 2 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where funeral service will be held following visitation at 2 p.m. with Malcolm Broadhurst officiating. Interment with military honors will be held at Hill Cemetery in Lawrence, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to Grand Rapids First Assembly of God Church Children’s Ministries, 2100 44th St., Grand Rapids, MI. 49509.
