Dear Donna. It seems odd calling you Donna, I grew up just two houses down Harris St. calling you Mrs. Stevens. Jesse and my dad Bill worked together for years at A.F.Murch. I remember Jesse as always ready to jump in and help any neighbor when they needed it. A better neighbor could not have been found. Jesse was always there serving his community, rushing off on fire calls any time of the day or night. He was an inspiration to all of us kids who grew up on Harris St. My deepest condolences go out to you and your son Lynn. Robert Young, Dallas, TX

Dear Donna and family: I remember the great friendship Jesse had with my father Harry. You two were very special to both Harry and Mildred. I remember coming to your house with Harry to watch boxing. I was not a fan of boxing but I was a fan of doing things with my Dad and he and Jesse enjoyed the fights and enjoyed being together. Jesse was always such a helpful, friendly person and I am sure the memories you have will help you through this time.

Donna & Family, I will write this for Mildred and myself as she is not able to do so with her Alzheimer's condition. I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Jesse as I have always admired him greatly from the very first time we met at the Murch Co. in 1959. He was always ready to give help and advice to anyone that would ask. A prince of a man and a great loss to anyone that knew him. You are in our prayers today. Roger K.
