Hi Betty and Family,
I was so sorry to read of Linda's passing. She is with the Lord now and her dad and grandmother, Mary.
(I'm the daughter of Thelma Ruth Chaffin Davis < daughter of Jesse Chaffin and Ruby Blankenship.)
Mother and I used to visit Mary every summer before Mother passed away in 1984 and I also continued to visit with Mary until she passed away. Mary and my grandmother Ruby were first cousins - Ruby was the sister of Lona B. Irby.
I can also remember visiting with Jack every summer at our CHAFFIN Family reunion out at my Uncle Tony Chaffin's in Chaffin Estates at Martha.
My husband and I now live out off of Blue Sulphur Rd. in Ona. I see that your family gets together for a reunion from time to time.
Just last week I had accidently stumbled across Jack, Jr & Chris' website about their music.
Take care...Lynda Sue

Please accept my heartfelt sadness at Linda's passing. It came as a complete shock to me and I'm still a bit numb, so I don't know if I can say what ought to be said to you, her family and friends. But she was my childhood friend from Lee St. in Barboursville and my kind friend through Jr. High and High School. I quess I knew her for a longer period of time than just about anybody else outside of my family. But length of time is not the same as depth of familiarity, and you all have the treasure of that privilege. I have no doubts, though, that she never ceased to be warm, smart, hard-working and spirited. She was nobody's doormat! I am afraid to go on about her, for fear of making you hurt all the more. I am so very, very sorry for your loss, and I pray that someone will find the words or songs that will do her justice and you good. tom sharp

I was shocked to read about Linda passing, and i pray for the family. I know she had a great family, filled with music and laughter, who will miss her dearly. My memories of her and the family are all good and i will always smile when the Adkins family come to my mind. What was her favorite song to dance to? I think it was "Do the Buzzard."
Please accept my condolences and prayers as you all are forever in my thoughts and memories.
