I can remember clearly running around with him in the wagon when I first got on the CAWV scholarship committee, I was the new kid on the block then and he was very supportative and especially kind to me and I really appreciated it. I heard my Father, Junior Grimes, speak of Bill Turman at our house many times when I was a young man growing up in the Barboursville-LeSage area. It was always a respected name in our family. I attended Junior High and High school at Barboursville with Waymond, graduating in 1966 together. So, Waymond, this email is for you and your family. God Bless You during these coming days as my Dad, Junior, has been dead for 12 years and I think of him everyday. You will think of yours just like me. But, as with time and God's healing, we move on. Remember the many things he taught you and most of all the laughs that he shared with you. They now will become more precious as the days and years go by. I hope to see you at our 40th Barboursville high School reunion on Friday, June 23rd and the weekend of fun that the committee has for us. Take care and may your Dad rest in eternal peace.....

To the Turman Family, I'm sorry to hear the passing of your father. He was a great man. He gave me father a great opportunity to do something he really enjoyed. I can just picture the two of them sitting in the office working and talking. I remember the time I spent a Saturday with him looking at potential constuction sites so I could get a better understanding of the highway construction business. He was very patient as we looked at bridges and highways. I will always remember that day. Nellie Slash
