Phyllis Black Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1928 - 2006 Phyllis Black, 77, of Ona, WV, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 19, 2006. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2006 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Pastor Jody Fortner. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery. She was born October 30, 1928 in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Emzy and Nora Hanna Blake. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward Black and one brother, Billy Blake. She is survived by three daughters and son-in-law, Patty and Billy Spence of Milton, Charlotte Merritt of Huntington, and Barbara and Jack Adkins of Barboursville; one son and daughter-in-law, Emzy and Sherry Black of Lesage; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; special caregivers, Betty Bryan and Barbara Clack. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Barker Ridge Church Youth Group, c/o Charles and Ann Henry, Rt 2, Box 270, Ona, WV, 25545. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
