Philip E. LeistPhilip E. Leist, 61, of Huntington passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2006. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 17, 2006 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville by the Rev. Tim Halloran. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. He was born November 24, 1944, in Huntington, a son of Charlene Payne Leist of Huntington and the late Jack E. Leist. He was a retired educator at Milton High School and Cabell Midland High School where he served as a librarian. He had a great love of books and music. He was a member of Cross Roads United Methodist Church. He is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Leist of Huntington; two sisters, Jennie Hughes and her husband, Tom of Princeton, WV and Carla Templeton and her husband, Paul of Barboursville; three nieces, Debbie Sigmon and her husband, Mark, Martha Harrell and her husband, Steve, and Sarah Templeton Smith; two nephews, John Hughes and Wesley Templeton and his wife, Carol; one great niece, Kathryn Harrell; one aunt, Eula Holley; one uncle, Charles Leist and his wife, Marie; and several cousins. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace

I am deeply sorry for your loss. I was a teacher's assistant for Mr. Leist for several semesters at Cabell Midland High School. He was a wonderful person and was always joking around. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

TO Charlene and the Liest Family, When I was reading the Huntington paper, on the computer, this morning We were shocked to see Philip name, We are so sorry for your loss.
