1923 - 2006
 Ollo Karl Shook, 83, of Huntington, died Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at his residence. He was born April 29, 1923 in Oxley, WV, a son of the late John Wesley and Rose Marie Kline Shook. He was retired from INCO, was a veteran of the US Air Force serving in World War II and was a surviving POW. He was a member of the American Legion Post #16, Huntington, and the V.F.W Post #9738, Guyandotte. He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-two years, Dorothy Billiu Shook. He is survived by two daughters, Kathy Shook of Huntington and Karla Nickell of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; two grandchildren, Julie Nickell of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Jeff Nickell of Fairfield, Connecticut; and four great grandchildren, Brittany Nickell, Steven Nickell, Ellie Nickell and Jack Nickell. Friends may call from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 P.M. Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Military services will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. Monday at the White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum by the Veterans Honor Guard. The family strongly encourages in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to Hospice of Huntington, P.O. I worked with O.K. for many years and always respected his hard working, get the job done ability, his good fishing tales, and his war stories.
