George Robert Beckett Sr., 57, of Culloden, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 27, 2006. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 2006 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton by Pastor Lawrence Dailey. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery. He was born June 30, 1949 in Cabell County, a son of the late Clythe and Eloise Perry Beckett. He was preceded in death by one sister, Sue Ellen Hughes. He is survived by his wife, Anna Morris Beckett; one daughter, Angel Sloan and her husband Jason; one son, George Robert Beckett Jr. and his wife Stephanie; two grandchildren, Zachary Sloan and Jera Beckett; three sisters, Darlene Crouch and her husband, Richard, Clyta Shaffer and her husband, Tim; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Keith and Cindy Morris; and several loved nieces and nephews. To Anna, I was so sorry to hear about the death of Robert, I didnot know him as well as his sisters, but I remember he was always a kind and compassionate person. I know you will miss him so much. Please let his sisters know I am so sorry.
