I'm sorry I wasn't there for the service. But the whole Ross family were on my mind the whole weekend. To say that Jeff will be missed is an understatement. He was a wonderful christian that I was fortunate to grow up with in my younger days in Salt Rock. He was a great witness for Christ. His rewards have just begone. My thoughts and prayers will be with all of you through the coming weeks. Again remember those he has touched and witness to on this earth he is now WALKING with in heaven.
Love you all,
Johnny

Hey family. I wish I could be there to give my support, but travel circumstances prevent me from being there. I offer a great deal of condolences for everyone. All we can do now is look at the bright side of this. Jeff is finally happy living the great life with God now. He is no longer in pain or misery from this terrible disease. My family and my church family have been praying ever since we found out about this and we all continue to keep you in our prayers. I always had something special with Jeff even though I dindn't get to see him much, but I will always have the great memories of all of the wonderful things he has done with me. Once again, I wish I could be there and our condolences are with each and every one of you. Love you guys with all my heart.
Nicholas, erin, Lexxie, Hannah, and Emma.

Just wanting to say that Jeff was one of those people that all of his family and friends knew where he stood. He was a Christian first and foremost and that foundation was where he built his life.
He witnessed to many of us who had the opportunity to work with him at Sturm. His witness was not only the profession of his faith, but how he lived his life every day. He always gave 100% to everything he did. He was a good machinist, always doing quality work. He liked his work and always went about it with a smile on his face. Everyone that knew him well knew that he was a perfectionist. He liked things to look good and always kept his work area, living area, and his personal property neat and clean.
Many times we wonder why Jeff should have to suffer through that terrible disease ALS. Part of the answer may be found in the many of us who got closer to God while praying for Jeff and his family. I can't possibly be the only one that benefitted from the extra time thinking about and praying for Jeff. And jeff's courage, that he surely got from his close walk with the Lord, was a testement to all of us because we all saw that his faith comforted him in a way that nothing else could.
Jeff made the world a better place in many ways. We will all miss him, but we can also be comforted knowing that he is now walking and talking with the Lord.
May God comfort you during these tough days ahead by giving you peace, and also the faith and strength to keep doing his will.
Sincerely,
Andy Finley

I don't know where to begin. So many parts of my life have had Jeff in them. Jeff was my Sunday School teacher when I was a teenager and when I was saved. He then helped Dickie McGlone baptize me. Jeff worked with my dad at Sturm's and witnessed to him without cease. I do believe had it not been for him, our family would not have became what it is today. I am so proud of my christian dad and mom. Jeff was also in my grandpa's hospital room when he finally gave his heart to Jesus. Thanks to Jeff's witness again, I didn't have to say goodbye to papaw Don, I just said "see you later". My memories of him just go on and on. What a wonderful example of how we all should be. I had also in the past thanked Jeff for visiting my husband Denver's grandparents. Up until the point that Jeff couldn't visit people anymore, he would always visit them. I told him that he had no idea the impact that his visits made on people and that even though he could no longer visit them, those visits and talks he had with people were still effecting them. My prayer is that I can touch at least half the lives that Jeff has touched. I pray that God will touch each of you in the way that you need. I cannot imagine what you are going through. I love you all and I am praying for you.
