Helen Mae Carter Erwin, 72, of Barboursville passed away Monday, December 25, 2006 at the Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2006 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville by Pastor Pete Davidson. Entombment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She was born December 31, 1933 in Cabell County, WV a daughter of the late Gaston and Sibyl Moore Carter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Edward Ervin; three brothers, Earl, Keith, and Daniel Carter; two sisters, Naomi Clark and Loretta Carter. She is survived by three sisters, Delores Bias of Ona, Sharon Nance of Huntington, Judy Ross of Ona; five brothers, Lloyd Carter of North Carolina, Phillip Carter of Virginia, Jerry Carter of Barboursville, Mike Carter of Ashland, KY, and Rodney Carter of Culloden, WV; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
