I am so very sorry to hear about Uncle Johnny. I had no idea he was ill. My prayers are with Aunt Betty, Robin, and Karen, and all of the family. I have so many wonderful memories playing as a child at his and Uncle Lee's house. I hope he is with dad now. RIP Uncle Johnny. Love, Chris Lusher

It was very sad to hear of uncle Johnny's passing. Of course Dad had let us know Johnny's condition, so it wasn't entirely unexpected. I only wish we could have come out to visit in time. I'll always remember the good times our family had visiting and how Johnny made us feel welcome. And of course, we shared a birthday! Tracy lost her dad a couple of years ago, so she knows what you're going through now. She sends her deepest sympathies as well. God bless and comfort all of you.

I didn't get to spend very much time him, but Uncle Johnny was very special to me. when my family and I went back home in 2003, he was very sick and couldn't make any contact with us but he still wanted us to come over and meet my wife and children. He was a very kind and loving person. Aunt Betty, Karen, Robin and family, my family and I will keep you in our prayers.

Aunt Betty, Karen and Rob I'll miss uncle Johnny so much! He was such a great uncle to me. Even though I'm out here in california, I would always think of him and how he was the patriarch of ourfamily. I have told my children about him and how he always helped people with anything they needed. I wish I could have known him better and I wish my children could have met him. My fondess memories of going on vacation with my family is all the times we would go to Uncle Johnny's and uncle Lee's house and being with all the family and just listening to uncle Johnny and Uncle Lee tell jokes and laugh all day. I'll miss him a lot!! I love you aunt Betty, and I'm going to come soon and I want some tomato dumplings and biscuits and gravy. Love Danny

I've very sorry to hear about Uncle Johnny passing on. He was always very special to me from my youth up. My family and I really enjoyed visiting with him and Aunt Betty, when we were out there back in 2002. He had several stories to share with us. And, we talk about those stories from time to time. I am so happy my husband and kids got to meet him and spend time with him. I wish I could be there now to say my final good-byes. I loved him very much. And, I will always miss him. Love, Junie

Time spent at Uncle Johnny and Aunt Betty's house during the family's visits back home are some of my happiest memories from childhood. As I reached adulthood and now middle age myself I've continued to enjoy the quiet wisdom drawn from the life of man so devoted to his family. Uncle Johnny has left a tremendous legacy and will be greatly missed. Love, your nephew David in Calfornia

I am very sorry about Johnny. Last time I was home I was rushed because Dickie's Aunt had passed away. We were in and out in two days and I said the next time I come home I want to go see some of my family that I haven't got to see for a long time. I miss everyone very much. I only get to see my brother, Gordon, but once a year. Life is just one big hurry all the time and now I regret not making the time to go just a little bit out of my way to see someone I'll never get to see again. Johnny always had a smile on his face and a hug to give you but most of all he made you feel like he was glad to see you. I miss everyone very much. Love Sherry

Karen and John I don't know if you will remember me and my late husband Robert Calhoun, from CSX, or not but Bobby thought so much of Joe and enjoyed working with him at the C&O shops. I just wanted to express my condolences to you and your family. Barbara Calhoun
