Elgust Roy Woodrum, 76, of Branchland, WV, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2007, after a long illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at the Wallace Funeral Home and Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Kenneth Bell. Burial will be in Baylous Cemetery. He was born August 3, 1930 in Alkol, WV, a son of the late Hobert Lee and Mamie McDilda Woodrum. He was retired from Cabell County Board of Education. He is survived by his wife, Maxine Stanley Woodrum; two sons and daughters -in-law, Randy and Goldie Woodrum of Barboursville, and Larry Lee and Pam Woodrum of West Hamlin; four sisters, Hazel Adkins, Barbara Smith, Linda Harris, and Patricia Vetter; one brother, Spence Woodrum; four grandchildren, Craig Woodrum and his wife Jessica, of South Point, Ohio, Chad Woodrum of Barboursville, Chris Ryan, of Fort Worth, Texas, and Heather Frye and her husband Jason, of West Hamlin, WV. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Lincoln Continuous Care, for their kindness during Roy’s illness.
