Dave was a great friend of my husband and I while living in Charlotte, NC. He was inspiration to all who came in contact with him. He lived life to the fullest and that showed in his many bruises he brought to work at Computer City from his Rugby matches. We will contiunue to share his memory and mourn his loss

Amy,
I remember how David and Bradd used to play together all the time and usually end up in trouble...one time they went up stairs to play and I told them not to go 'behind the walls' (storage area)....well, it wasn't no time until David fell through the ceiling, hanging with his feet through my bedroom!!! And another time, we had a platform out back and they wanted to build a 'shack'on top of it, so I let them. They got a hammer and nails and made a hide out. This was o.k. with me, for it kept them busy. Then they rummaged up some paint and painted it and our neighbors brick house!!! And they used to shoot birds off of his bird feeder. And sneak down to the river and go swimming. But they were such good buddies, they really had a ball doing all kinds of things together. David always had a little smile on his face and you would wonder what he was up to. My daughter Kris would take up for David, and say Bradd was just as guilty, but 'sneaking'. They all were partners in crime. Delana was in the middle of it too, just a lillte older and smarter than they were.
Anyway, I loved him dearly and will always remember him with that twinkle in his eye and smile on his face. God bless you, Hope

Amy and family, I am very sorry for your loss. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. I have known David for years and although we rarely saw each other I have always thought of him as a good friend. He was a very good man, and extremely proud of his family. It was really great to be able to work with Lowell this past wrestling season. So many of the qualities that made David such a special person are evident in him. Although David is not with us, he will never be forgotten.

Amy may God bless you and your children In your time of need. I worked with Dave in Huntington before they tranfered me to the Middlesboro KY branch. I liked Dave and when I heard the news the other day, I could picture him standing at his desk. God is your strength and HOPE. I know first hand how hard it is since my wife passed away four years ago and I have three daughters to raise. But with God's help and comfort, Church Family, and friends to be there for you, it will bring you comfort. Remember the poem about "Footprints in the sand"
God is carrying you!!!
I am so sorry for you loss! My thoughts and prayers are with you!!!

Amy,
After having been in the school system for 26 yrs, I can honestly
say David was a favorite. I thought of him as one of my own
children. His smile was contagious.
No matter how long it was between
seeing you and David, catch up was
very easy and funny. I am so sorry and I will never for David.
Glory in your children as David would have wanted.

Dear Amy, After talking with you at the BMS track meet, it brought back so many old memories of our run around days together. I have to believe that the time we talked was meant to be. After seeing Lowell it was just like seeing David 20 years ago. I will always cherish the laughs and memories I have of you and David and all the great times we spent together. May God watch over you, your children and family and give you strength in this time of sorrow. Also remember "Memories Last Forever"

Our prayers are with you Amy and your family. We are saddened to know of your loss. Mike and I enjoyed David in Sunday school class as our teacher. I remember him saying, "I have never taught before so I guess this was a sign for me." Just laughing. He did touch our lives in the time he was a leader of a class by making us realize that God is our priority in life no matter how wrapped up we get in day to day living. Your children are also in our prayers for their loss. May God give you strength and comfort in this time of need.

When I received the news via email from folks at Pea Ridge Baptist I was shocked. I read the contents and didn't understand how it could be David.
Memory called me back to the 20th class reunion and how perfect you and he looked together. If ever there was a match made in Heaven, it appeared yours was.
Amy, may you feel the love of those near and far at this moment. As your kids learn more about your dad from your friends and family may care on his love of life and the sense of purpose with which he lived.
Awaiting the reunion that won't end.

There are no words that can describe the grief I feel today.
Amy, my heart aches for you and the children. It was evident, every time I spoke with him, that David was so proud and loved you all so very much.
We were not able to spend as much time together as we used too. Life has a way doing that to you. There never seems to be enough time. None the less, those times we were able to share seemed like we had just spoken the prior day, no matter how long it might have been since we had last seen each other.
He was more of a brother to me than a friend and I miss him already.
It was an honor to have been able to know David and I consider it a privlege to have been able to call him my friend.

I am terribly sorry to hear of this news & loss. I have not seen David in many years and will always remember his my years with him playing football and clowning around in high school. I remember a trampoline incident well. I wish I had photos of this, but one Summer (guessing 1984) he, Tim Beech, Tommy Turman and myself were jumping on the trampoline in my backyard and from time to time David would time his jump and one of us would be sent flying over a hedge and down a hill. I see this like it happened yesterday and can hear his laugh and agressive boyish ways. He was a friend that will be missed and a loss to all. May God bless you Amy and your wonderful family.

When I heard this very bad news, I remembered the 7th or 8th grade when David, a shy, fine young man very nearly I thought, but not quite, might have been on the verge of asking me to attend a dance on the outskirts of the front steps at Barboursville Junior High. If I am not mistaken, Amy, his wife of these many years, was on his radar even then, and she went to the dance with him, if my memory serves me. My husband and I have prayed for you, Amy, and your children before sleeping in these last few nights and will continue to do so. Dearest Amy, we will make a contribution to the fund.
