Maedell Adkins Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1939 - 2007 Maedell Adkins, 68, of Rt 1, East Lynn, WV, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2007. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 28, 2007 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Minister Emual Adkins. Burial will be in Jones Cemetery. She was born February 21, 1939 in Wayne County, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Roma Dillon Adkins. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Gary Adkins and Mark Adkins; sisters and brothers, Shannon, Tommy, Kenneth, and Lorene Adkins and Imogene Marcum. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Millington “Dumpy” Adkins, Jr; two sons and a daughter, Michael Adkins and his wife, Carol, of Scott Depot, WV, Millington Adkins, III of Ashtabula, OH; and Tena Gue and her husband, Timothy of Branchand; and a daughter-in-law, Vicki Adkins of Metamora, MI; sisters, Norma Fisher of South Point, OH and Lois Tallent of Fairborn, OH; brother, Ferry Adkins of Salt Rock; thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 6-9 pm Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

Aunt Maedell, I will miss you deeply. Thanks for all the memories you gave me as I was growing up. Thanks for always being there for mom, she will miss you deeply also, you were not only her sister but also her best friend. My only comfort is knowing that you are now with Gary and Marty.
