My deepest sympathy to his family. I graduated from High School with Max. We went to the Junior Prom together because both of our dates could not go at the last minute. He was a good friend.
Your family will be in my prayers

I am so sorry for your loss. Max was like my big brother years ago when we were all showing horses. He was like my dad's (Bill Jones)son he never had!! He was always going to horse shows with us for long weekends. We haven't been in touch until here recently and I am so glad we talked on the phone several months ago. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of need and now he will be your guardian angel until you meet again! Much love, Charlotte

I'm so sorry to learn of Max's passing. I hadn't seen him for quite sometime and only when I was in town visiting my home church LMBC. I knew him as a friend and man of integrity. Always there for those in need. I can only imagine the pain his family is feeling... but I can imagine the big smile on his face when he saw the Lord face to face.
GOD Bless the Hatfield Family!

Max was my buddy. He taught me 90% of what I know about fishing. We went to Mexico together 3 times fishing and always had a great time. I will miss him. I will be in NC on Monday but Max & family will be in my thoughts. We have been friends for over 20 years and have helped one another in business. Max could be hard headed at times but he always did the right thing in the end. He had a good heart. The last couple of years were rough for him but I think he regretted splitting up with you Linda, and he loved you and his 2 daughters. I truly regret that I can't be there on Monday. Max's passing will leave an empty spot in my life but i know he is going on to a better place. He & his Dad are probably out fishing right now!

To the family I would like to express my condolence to a fine gentleman Max Hatfield. It seems only yesterday that he was united in Marriage. I know that we will miss his smiling face and warm personality, at least for a little while until we meet again with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My prayers are with you. With Love in Christ Bro. Rex

I am sorry for your loss.Max was a good friend and the only person that would write insurance on a new business 26 years ago. I will never forget that when Milton flooded in 1993, Max was checking on all of his policy holders in the flood area, he was the only insurance agent I saw in town. I always knew that if I asked Max a question I would get a straight answer, He will be greatly missed. Marty Powers
