
James R. Hensley, Sr., 78, of Ona, WV, formerly of Williamson, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at the Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. He was born March 25, 1929, in Pike County, KY, a son of the late Jim and Rady Carter Hensley. He served in the Korean War and was a Purple Heart Recipient. He was also a 35 year employee of Norfolk-Southern Railway where he served as a Conductor. He and his family were members of the Elmwood Baptist Church in Barboursville, WV. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Sylvia Mae Arnsparger. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Billie Jean Pack Hensley; two sons, James Robert Hensley Jr. and his wife Susan of Williamson, James Bruce Pack of Ona; two daughters, Betty Mae Webb of Ona, Lana Zolene Brown and husband Mike of Milton; three grandchildren, Christopher Michael Brown, Kinsey Renee Webb and Faith Elizabeth Hensley; one brother, Billy Ray Hensley of Salisbury, MD; one sister, Betty Lou McCormick of Williamson, WV; one sister-in-law, Zolene Pack of Ona, two brothers-in-law, Bud and Buddy Pack, and finally one faithful companion, their poodle Louis’. The family would like to take this opportunity to express their appreciation to the physicians and nurses at the Hospice House for their kindness and care toward their father.
