C. V. Foster, 86, of Barboursville, WV, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2007, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 14, 2007, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. David Cardwell. He was born January 22, 1921, in Chariton, Iowa, a son of the late Thurston and Bessie James Foster. He was a retired sales manager for the Better Business Bureau in Kansas City, MO, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Lillie Simpson Foster; one daughter, Marjorie Maupin of Lenexa, KS; two sons, Patrick Foster of Barboursville, and Michael Foster of Lenexa, KS; six grandchildren, Jennifer Foster, Christopher Foster, David Maupin, Dusty Maupin, Shawna Scharman, and Suzanne Moss ; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert and Elene Simpson, Gary and Dee Simpson; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Bess and Don Osborne, Frances Lusk, and Carol Bailey. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Thursday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, children, and family.
