 Catherine Duty Ross, 86 of Salt Rock, WV, went home to be with the Lord June 20, 2007. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Friday, June 22, 2007 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Ray Adkins and Rev. Robert Hatfield. Burial will be in Ross Cemetery. She was born April 11, 1921 in Ona, WV, a daughter of the late Esau and Myrtie Smith Duty. She was a member of Madison United Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roma Ross and one daughter, Anna Belle Ross. She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Delma and William Carter and Fern and James Childers, all of Salt Rock, Arna M. and Val D. Walls of Branchland, WV, and Sharon and Gary Rolfe of Salt Rock; one sister-in-law, Ruth Duty of Milton; eleven grandchildren; twenty two great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call Friday after 1:00 pm at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace. |

So sorry to hear of your Mother's death. It has been a long time since I have talked with you, but I think of you often and remember our high school years and the fun we had.

Dear Fern, Delma, Arna and Sharon:
I am so sorry to read about the loss of your Mother. Although I have not seen her for many years, I still have fond memories of visiting her and your Dad and going hunting on their property with my Dad.
It's very odd that I came across this since I have probably looked at obituaries from Huntington only one or two times in the past 10 years. I was looking for someone else and happened to see this.
