1950 - 2007
 Darrell Hammond, 56, of Huntington, went home to be with the Lord August 8, 2007 at his residence. Darrell was a wonderful loving husband, son, father, brother, brother-in-law and Uncle Darrell Darrell, and grandpa. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 11, 2007 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Minister Willie Purdee and Rev. Jesse Lacy. Burial will be in Bowen Cemetery. He was born September 21, 1950 in Huntington, a son of Leo and Jewell Bartram Hammond of Huntington. He was a member of the Guyandotte Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Bonnie Hammond and Connie Presley. He is survived by his wife, Sandra D. Walden Hammond; three sons, Darrell and Christine Hammond of Salt Rock, Jody and Tammy Hammond of Ft. Walton Beach, FL and Ronnie Hammond of Huntington; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara Adkins of Huntington, Drema and Mark Watson of Lavalette, and Lynnie and Delbert Eplin of Branchland; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Darris and Brenda Hammond of Beech Fork, Eddie Hammond and Dana Hammond both of Huntington, and Danny and Jeannie Hammond of Lavalette; five grandchildren, Charlestyn Counts, Jozi and Jesse Hammond and Brittany and Rodney; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Thomas and Betty Walden; brother-in-laws, Tom Walden Jr., Jerry Walden and David and Marybeth Walden; several nieces, nephews and numerous friends. He will be deeply missed by all. Friends may call from 6-9 pm Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
