Edward W. Burton Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1927 - 2007 Edward W. Burton, 80, of Barboursville, WV formerly of Hamlin, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 10, 2007 in St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2007 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville by Pastor Rick Glass. Burial will be in Harvey’s Creek Cemetery, Hamlin, WV. He was born July 27, 1927, in Hamlin a son of the late Fleet and Flossie Thompson Burton. He was a member of Elmwood Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Marie Wilson, Atlas Roberts; brothers, Ottman and Matthew Burton; two children, James and Oma Burton. He is survived by his loving wife of over 54 years, Opal Grass Burton; son and daughter-in-law, Edward L. and Dianna Burton; his grandson, Danial Burton all of Barboursville; one sister, Carrie Billups of Hamlin; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace
